2024 Bank Holidays
Below are the federal holidays for 2024. Please keep all of these dates in mind throughout the year as you create and initiate your ACH files.
New Year's Day - Monday, January 1
Martin Luther King Day - January 15
Presidents Day - Monday, February 19 (SFB offices to remain open)
Memorial Day - Monday, May 27
Juneteenth - Wednesday, June 19
Independence Day - Thursday, July 4
Labor Day - Monday, September 2
Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples' Day - Monday, October 14
Veterans Day - Monday, November 11
Thanksgiving Day - Thursday November 28
Christmas Day - Wednesday, December 25
No ACH files, remote deposit files or wires will be transmitted on Federal Reserve Bank Holidays. This is especially true when a holiday falls on a Thursday or Friday, as most ACH payroll related files are submitted on Wednesdays and Thursdays with effective dates of Thursday or Friday. Even though SFB is open on a Federal Holiday (Presidents Day), all ACH files will be for the following business day.
