SFB Employees Grant Over $5,000 to Local Organizations
At Security Financial Bank (SFB), we believe in giving back to the community. To recognize those employees who give their time, talent, and service to causes important to them, SFB established a Volunteer Grant Program. This year, $5,250 in grants were awarded to eligible charitable organizations in the name of an SFB employee.
Employees who volunteer a minimum of 50 hours per calendar year can designate a $250 grant to the charitable organization of their choice. If the employee volunteers in a leadership capacity for that organization, the grant increases to $350.
"SFB employees love that our bank has always supported volunteering in our communities. With the addition of the grant option, this gives everyone a chance to amplify the impact of the causes they support, said Patty Chambers, director of human resources. "The team has really gotten behind this and it's also fun to see the variety of organizations where people choose to donate their time. It's a win-win all the way around!"
In 2025, SFB donated to organizations including Ava Maria Academy, Beacon House, Eau Claire County Humane Association, Girl Scouts Northwestern Great Lakes, Lucky Paws, Pepin County Humane Society, River Falls Junior Bowling, Sojourner House, Synergy Arts Alliance, and more in its employees' names.
Year-to-date SFB employees volunteered 3,592 hours with 179 organizations. To learn more about how you can be a part of the SFB team, view our careers page: Careers | Security Financial Bank
