SFB Scholarships Awarded to Area High School Graduates

Mark Oldenberg, president and CEO of Security Financial Bank (SFB), is pleased to announce that 11 area recent high school graduates each have been awarded a $500 scholarship to be used to further their education.

Recipients include:

  • Addison Auth, a graduate of Durand-Arkansaw High School, will attend the University of St. Thomas. 
  • Norah Auth, a graduate of Elmwood High School, will attend University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
  • Kenley Brown, a graduate of Black River Falls High School, will attend Edgewood College.
  • Gabrik Hollenbeck, a graduate of Eau Claire Memorial High School, will attend University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire
  • Emily Kirkman, a graduate of Lake Holcombe High School will attend University of Wisconsin-Superior.
  • Hannah LaGesse, a graduate of Bloomer High School, will attend Chippewa Valley Technical College.
  • Abigail Pfaff, a graduate of Durand-Arkansaw High School, will attend Chippewa Valley Technical College.
  • Benjamin Ross, a graduate of Lincoln High School, will attend Indiana University Bloomington.
  • Ethan Sippy, a graduate of Bloomer High School, will attend Chippewa Valley Technical College.
  • Jackson Summerfield, a graduate of Ladysmith High School, will attend the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
  •  Kennedy Tumm, a graduate of Fall Creek High School, will attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Recipients are chosen based on involvement in school, youth organizations, and community events with particular preference given to students pursuing a career in finance, accounting, or business administration.
