Randy Ptacek Appointed Ladysmith Market President

Mark Oldenberg, president and CEO of Security Financial Bank (SFB), is pleased to announce that Randy Ptacek, ag relationship manager, has been appointed market president for SFB's Ladysmith location.

With nearly 10 years' experience as a relationship manager in Ladysmith, Ptacek will step into the market president role. Norb Christman previously held the position before retiring at the end of 2024, and Scott Erickson has served as interim market president for the past year.

"I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve as market president in Ladysmith," Ptacek said. "This is the community where I grew up and built my career, and I look forward to continuing to support our agricultural and business clients."

Ptacek has always been passionate about agriculture. He uses his agricultural knowledge to help his clients succeed. He has experience in all areas of ag lending including expansions and farm transitions.

"We are pleased to appoint Randy to this position," Oldenberg said. "His experience and dedication to SFB will position him well to lead our Ladysmith market."

Ptacek earned a bachelor's degree in math and education from Mount Scenario College. He is also a graduate of both the Wisconsin Bankers Association (WBA) Lending School and the American Bankers Association (ABA) Agricultural Lending School. In addition, he received certifications in forage management, crop nutrients, and pest management in both corn and soybeans.

Active in the community, Randy is a youth basketball coach with City Hoops AAU program and volunteers for a variety of organizations including Northwestern Wisconsin Business Development Corporation, Northwest Regional Planning Commission, Rusk County 4-H and Rusk County Livestock. In his free time, he enjoys his hobby farm, following his daughters' sporting events, and participating with them in horse events and roping competitions at ranch rodeos throughout the Midwest.
