Ramona Simont Receives First SFB Hero Award

Article By: Becky Seelen, Director of Marketing & Corporate Communications for SFB

Saying this last year has been a challenge is an understatement. But along with all the hardships that the pandemic has caused, the past year has shown us that so many people did so much for those in need in our communities. We wanted to do something to celebrate them.

Throughout the year, SFB will be recognizing clients, community members, businesses, and nonprofit organizations that have made a significant impact in helping the lives of others during the COVID-19 pandemic. Each month, we will select one hero to feature and award a gift or donation valued at $250.

Our first SFB Hero of COVID winner is Ramona Simont of River Falls. Ramona has been a significant volunteer for the Free Clinic of Pierce and St. Croix Counties, volunteering each Tuesday even through the worst of the pandemic. She continually donates to those hungry or needing assistance in the community, many times dropping off food to neighbors anonymously. We are fortunate to have someone like Ramona in our community.

Do you know someone who we should recognize? Nominate him or her for our next Hero of COVID award! Download an application here.
