SFB Welcomes Bryan Gerlach as New Chief Financial Officer

Mark Oldenberg, president and CEO of Security Financial Bank (SFB), is pleased to announce that Bryan Gerlach has joined SFB as chief financial officer. As CFO, Gerlach will develop, implement, and administer the bank's financial and accounting policies, procedures, and systems. 

As a certified public accountant, Gerlach is knowledgeable in audit and accounting. He has more than 15 years of banking experience including serving as CFO at previous financial institutions.  

"Bryan is a positive addition to SFB as he brings extensive experience and a fresh perspective," Oldenberg said. "We are excited to have him as a leader on the team."

Gerlach earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and has been an Eau Claire resident ever since. He is passionate about continuing education and has completed programs through the Graduate School of Banking and Harvard Business School.

"I believe that the Chippewa Valley has great growth potential, and with the right financial solutions and expertise, Security Financial Bank can play a vital role in that growth," Gerlach said.

Outside of work, Gerlach serves as chair of the Audit Committee for the Chippewa Valley Council - Boy Scouts of America. He has served on the Board of Directors for both the Children's Museum of Eau Claire and the YMCA of the Chippewa Valley. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and gets in a round of golf whenever he can.
