
Two SFB Lenders Awarded Graduate School of Banking Diplomas
Security Financial Bank (SFB) Relationship Managers Cathy Asher and Scott Erickson were both recently awarded a diploma at commencement exercises during the 80th session of the prestigious Graduate School of Banking (GSB) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. They also each received a Certificate of Executive Leadership from the Wisconsin School of Business Center for Professional and Executive Development for completing the rigorous GSB leadership curriculum.
GSB is widely recognized as the nation's leading and most progressive banking school, offering a comprehensive course of study that focuses on meeting the changing needs of today's bank manager. GSB students acquire a broad knowledge and understanding of major bank functions and their interrelationships and develop the skills required to lead and manage effectively. The school's curriculum reflects the contemporary trends impacting the financial services industry.
Asher serves as a senior ag relationship manager at SFB in the Durand office. She is also a graduate of the WBA Ag Lending School. Asher is experienced with government lending programs including Farm Service Agency direct and guaranteed loans, which SFB is a preferred lender. Active in the community, she serves on the Durand-Arkansaw School Board as well as the Board of Directors for the United Way of the St. Croix and Red Cedar Valleys.
Erickson serves as the market president at the Bloomer location and a commercial relationship manager for SFB. Erickson is responsible for connecting SFB's banking resources to the Bloomer community. As a relationship manager, he has developed strong long-lasting relationships with industrial and commercial clients. He is an active volunteer and advocate for the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin and a volunteer coach for Fall Creek youth sports.
