SFB Welcomes Shana York as Compliance Officer

Mark Oldenberg, president and CEO of Security Financial Bank (SFB), is pleased to announce that Shana York has joined the SFB team as a compliance officer at the corporate office.

York brings more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry, having held a variety of compliance, audit, and examiner roles throughout her career. She will work with Compliance Officer Ann Gonstead-Hartle at the corporate office until Gonstead-Hartle retires in the spring.

"We are excited to welcome Shana and the wealth of knowledge she brings to SFB," said Oldenberg. "She will help ensure our bank operates fairly and ethically, protecting customers, maintaining trust, and preventing financial loss."

York grew up throughout the United States as part of an Army family. She earned a degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Her professional background includes serving as a compliance manager for a credit union, a FinTech company, and an accounting firm, as well as working as an examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Most recently, York worked in a bank's audit department, managing issues identified by regulators and internal audit teams.

"I am looking forward to being part of a team that feels like a work family and is highly respected in the communities it serves," said York.

Outside of work, York is actively involved in animal rescue organizations. She has an adult son, two dogs, and enjoys hiking, kayaking, and traveling.
