How to Add an External Deposit Account for Transfers and Loan Payments

Enjoy the convenience of transferring funds between your Security Financial Bank (SFB) account and another financial institution with online banking and your mobile app. If you need to transfer funds to or from your deposit account at SFB, or you would like to make a payment to your loan at SFB, appreciate the ease of transferring the money electronically. Log into your SFB account and add your other bank account information to set up one-time or recurring transfers.

Follow the steps below to set up transfers in your online account:

  1. Click the Transfers option in the menu bar.
  2. Click on + External account.
  3. For security, you will need to confirm your SFB online banking account password to continue.
  4. After entering your other bank account information, you will need to verify that two small deposits are then placed into your account.

On the mobile app, under accounts, you also can simply click the menu icon in the upper left corner.

  1. Click the Transfers option in the menu.
  2. Click, "Transfer to other institutions by adding an external transfer account."
  3. Click on + ADD EXTERNAL ACCOUNT.
  4. For security, you will need to confirm your SFB online banking account password to continue.
  5. Add your other bank account information.

Please note that it may take several days for both financial institutions to verify the account information. You will have five days to verify the deposit on the app. After the account is set up you will be able to transfer funds between institutions anytime within your SFB account. There is a $3 fee on every external outgoing transaction.  There is no charge from SFB to pull funds from your external account to your deposit account at SFB or to make a loan payment to your loan with SFB.
