Get a Free Crop Insurance Review for 2022

With higher fertilizer, fuel, and other crop input costs going into 2022, it will be especially important to review your crop insurance policy this year to make sure it is up to date.

Currently, corn and soybean prices also are high, but if those crop prices fall throughout the year, your profit margin could be severely compressed. This is where a good crop insurance policy comes into play. A revenue protection policy of 75 percent, 80 percent, or even 85 percent can give you high production and price guarantees. These high revenue guarantees can help your operation offset those high input costs and maintain your farming profitability.

And with ECO (Enhanced Coverage Option), you can move your guarantee to 95 percent.

HAIL ONLY POLICY
If you have a hail-only policy, you may want to consider adding a wind endorsement to your policy. Last year, there was substantial damage from a couple of wind events. Increased coverage could help protect you if we have similar weather this year.

DEADLINE
But, don't delay. The deadline to make these multiple peril or ECO elections is March 15, 2022. Mark Chilson, SFB's insurance sales manager, would be happy to meet with you and provide a free crop insurance review. Contact Mark at 888.254.0615.
