Security Financial Bank Announces Recent Promotions within Organization

Jim Mayo, President and CEO of Security Financial Bank, is pleased to announce four recent promotions within the organization that include Mark Chilson, Deb Manske, George Hauser, and Paul Solyntjes.

Mark Chilson was promoted to Senior Vice President and Durand Market Manager. Mark joined the bank in 1991 as an Agricultural Lender and has been extensively involved in various leadership roles within the bank and in the community, including Pepin County Dairy Promotion Committee, Pepin County Farm Management Club, Durand Area Optimist Club, the American Legion, and a first responder with the Durand EMS. Mark will be a strategic representative of the bank at various community functions with his expanded responsibilities of Market Manager.

Mark possesses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture, with majors in Agribusiness and Farm Management from UW River Falls. He has over 27 years of banking experience specializing in Agricultural Lending. Mark also has experience as the President of the Chippewa Valley Bankers Association and as a Director on the Board of the Wisconsin Bankers Association Agricultural Section.

Mark is a retired United States Army veteran, serving over 26 years in the WI Army National Guard and United States Army Reserve. Through that experience, he received a Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal and an Army Commendation Medal. Mark currently resides in rural Durand on a small farm with his wife Michele.

Deb Manske has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Retail Banking and Deposits Manager. Deb joined the bank in 2011 as Vice President of Loan Services. Her expanded roles will involve directing the retail sales of the bank. Deb possesses more than 35 years of banking experience including 25 years with M&I Bank and 7 years with Citizens State Bank.

Deb's community involvement includes being the President of Main Street of Menomonie, Treasurer of Dunn County United Way, Sunrise Rotary, Menomonie Library Board, and Menomonie Chamber of Commerce Membership Committee. Deb's resides in rural Dunn County with her husband Scott.

George Hauser has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer and Chief Operating Officer. George joined Security Financial Bank in 2011 as Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer. George's expanded roles will involve the direction of all sales functions in addition to his current responsibilities of directing credit administration.

George has over 32 years of banking experience including agricultural, commercial and retail. He possesses many years of branch, market and executive management, as well as operations, credit administration, marketing and human resource experience.

George's education includes a Bachelor of Science degree from UW River Falls, the Graduate School of Banking, Midwest Banking Institute and numerous other banking schools. George is a director of the River Falls EDC, St. Croix Economic Development Corporation and the St. Croix Valley Natural Gas Board. He is also a member of the River Falls Lions Club. George currently resides in River Falls with his wife Kathy.

Paul Solyntjes has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Paul joined Security Financial Bank in 2013 as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. In addition to Paul's current roles of managing the financial, marketing, risk and IT departments of the bank, his expanded role will involve directing client support activities.

Paul possesses over 28 years of banking experience including 19 years with BankCherokee as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Marketing Officer and 7 years with Pierce County Bank & Trust Company as Controller. Paul has a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Finance from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting Degree from UW River Falls.

Paul's community involvement includes the being active in his church and the Ellsworth Rod and Gun Club. Paul currently resides in Ellsworth with his wife Karen.
